What is an OG image?+
An Open Graph (OG) image is the picture shown when a link is shared on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack, Discord, WhatsApp or iMessage. It's set with the og:image meta tag in your page's <head>, and it's usually the biggest thing in the preview.
What size should an OG image be?+
1200×630 pixels (1.91:1) works everywhere. Keep important content away from the edges, because X crops large cards closer to 2:1. Our guide covers every platform.
Is it free?+

Why isn't my new image showing when I share the link?+
Platforms cache previews. Use Facebook's Sharing Debugger or LinkedIn's Post Inspector to re-scrape, or change the image URL (for example add ?v=2) to force a refresh.
What happens to the URLs I paste?+
